Meet the Team

Josh Hawk, Board President

Josh Hawk is a life long North Portland resident with a heart and passion to see the North Portland community thrive. He is a local leader and a community organizer who works to create space for people to connect with each other in order to work collaboratively to better our community.

Soccer has always been a passion of Josh’s. He grew up playing recreational soccer for St. Johns Soccer Club and in high school he was the captain of the Roosevelt soccer team. Josh has been a part of the club since shortly after its inception starting out as a coach for the Little Kickers program in the spring of 2013. Coaching Little Kickers spiraled him into eventually joining the Board of Directors in the fall of 2019. Since then Josh has played a crucial part in shaping the club into what it is today. Josh believes soccer can be an effective means of bringing the community together and he has worked to help make NOPOSC a place to do this very thing.

Josh lives in the University Park neighborhood with his wife and three children, all of whom love soccer and have played for NOPOSC. Professionally he works at St. Johns Church as a Pastor, and has been in that role since 2007. When he is not working or coaching soccer you can find him on Mt. Hood downhill skiing.
