Stephanie Millis, Board Secretary

Stephanie is a passionate teacher who has been teaching in the Portland Public School District for 16 years. Over the years Stephanie has worked with students from a variety of different backgrounds such as refugees, low income families, and students facing disparities. She is currently a third grade teacher at the Access Academy, an alternate program that offers advanced curriculum and social emotional supports to highly accelerated students. Stephanie participated in a Teacher Advisory Group to advise on a project with PPS and the OHS to create new Portland readers that would be more inclusive and engaging for students. She holds a MAT in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Lewis and Clark College.

Stephanie grew up in North Portland and played soccer for NOPOSC before when it was just St. John’s soccer club. Now Stephanie’s children also play for NOPOSC. Stephanie started as a coach and wanted to get more involved leading her to joining the Board of Directors in 2023.
