Anti-discrimination & Harrassment Policy
I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to identify and address discrimination and harassment, outline procedures to be taken, and help promote a safe environment for everyone.
II. POLICY STATEMENT
North Portland Soccer Club is committed to creating a safe and fair environment for all its players, volunteers, and employees. We will not condone, permit, or tolerate any form of discrimination and/or harassment against any person because of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, or disability. Any incident of harassment and discrimination will be met with appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal or expulsion from the club.
1st Offense - Two week suspension from all club related activities
2nd Offense - Suspension from all club related activities for the rest of the season
3rd Offense - Expulsion from the club
III. PROCEDURES
NOPOSC Head Coach will notify NOPOSC leadership immediately of any offense and will administer the two week suspension
If there is a second or third offense the NOPOSC leadership will take action and will talk directly with the child and their parent/guardian. This suspension will come directly from the club leadership
